The energy I put into every canvas is the energy you feel when you look at it.
I paint large, layered abstracts built from bold colour and gesture. Each work starts with a memory or a place and grows over weeks of painting, scraping back and painting again.
Alongside my studio practice I teach painting to adults and young artists, sharing the techniques that help them find their own voice.
