About Al Anoud
Al Anoud Salem is a Kuwait-based best-selling writer of romantic novels.
From newspaper stories to nine novels
Al Anoud started writing short stories for a local newspaper before publishing her first novel at twenty-six. Since then she has written nine novels, a collection of short stories and countless letters to her readers.
When she is not writing, she runs creative writing workshops for young women, walks along the Gulf Road at sunset and reads everything she can find.
Awards and translations
Her novels have won the Gulf Readers’ Award for Romance three years running and have been translated into twelve languages, from English and French to Turkish and Malay.
*Love is Love* is now being adapted for a television series, and *Letters from the Sea* was shortlisted for the Young Arab Novelist Prize.
