iPad Pro M1 Chip: Bringing The MacBook Pro Power

Laptop-class performance arrives on a tablet. Is it time to replace your notebook?

The latest iPad Pro uses the same chip as Apple's laptops, and the difference is obvious from the first tap.

Apps open instantly, video exports finish in a fraction of the time and the mini-LED display is one of the best screens we have tested. Add the keyboard case and it feels like a capable laptop.

The limits are software, not hardware. If your work fits in tablet apps, this is a superb machine. If you rely on desktop tools, a laptop is still the safer choice.
