A Few Words About Our Restaurant
Mataam Al Shuala began as a small neighbourhood kitchen with a big love for honest, flavorful food. We cook with produce from local farms and fishermen, bake our own bread every morning and change the menu with the seasons.
Our Story And How It All Started
It all started fifteen years ago, when our founders turned an old lamp workshop into a twelve-table dining room and named it after the warm light that filled it every evening.
Word spread quickly. Neighbours became regulars, regulars became friends and the little kitchen grew into the restaurant and bar you see today.
We still cook the way we did on day one: simple recipes, the best ingredients we can find and a welcome that makes everyone feel at home.
