Best Places to Download HTML Templates

A good template can save days of work, but quality varies wildly. These are the kinds of places I recommend, and what to check before you hit download.

Open-source collections on code-hosting sites are great for learning: you can read the code, see recent activity and check the licence. Curated marketplaces cost a little more but usually include documentation, support and regular updates.

Whatever you pick, check that it is responsive, accessible and free of outdated libraries. Look at the licence for commercial use, and test the demo on a phone before committing.
