The best coding tricks for cleaner JavaScript
Wael Sabra
Small habits that make your code easier to read, test and change.
Clean code is less about clever tricks and more about small, repeatable habits. Here are the ones I use every day.
Name things for what they do. A function called getActiveUsers needs no comment; one called process does. Keep functions short enough to read without scrolling, and return early instead of nesting if statements three levels deep.
Prefer const over let, use array methods like map and filter instead of manual loops, and let your editor format the code for you. Finally, write one small test before you fix a bug. It proves the bug exists and stops it from coming back.
