Planned with communities
Village committees, schools and clinics tell us what they need. Local staff and volunteers then deliver the work, and the committee checks it.
Every programme starts with a conversation in the community it serves and ends with a report to the donors who paid for it.
Village committees, schools and clinics tell us what they need. Local staff and volunteers then deliver the work, and the committee checks it.
We measure school attendance, clinic visits and household income before and after each project, and share the results in our annual impact report.

Most of our budget goes to four programmes: education, community health care, livelihoods for families on low incomes, and emergency relief after floods, earthquakes and conflict.
Of every dollar we receive, 87 cents go directly to programmes, 8 to fundraising and 5 to administration.
