My story
My marketing career began at a busy agency in Kuwait City, where I learned digital strategy and branding by doing it, often at midnight. Ten years later I lead a small marketing team and still love a good brief.
Work took me to my first trade fairs abroad, and curiosity kept me travelling. I have now visited 15 countries, usually with a notebook and too many chargers.
This journal is where those two lives meet: what I learn at work, what I learn on the road, and the habits that keep both in balance.

Why I write
I started this journal to remember my trips. I kept going because readers wrote back: about a hotel they booked, an app that saved them an hour, a routine they tried.
Every post is something I have done myself, with the costs, the mistakes and what I would change next time.
Cooking at home
Friday lunch is my weekly kitchen project: machboos the way my mother makes it, a new salad, or a dessert I saw on a trip and wanted to try at home.
I share the recipes that work on the journal, with honest notes on the ones that did not.

Why I travel
I travel slowly: one city, a week, a notebook. Oman’s mountains, the old souqs of Bahrain and the coast of Jordan have taught me more than any long-haul trip.
I write down what each place costs, how to get around and where to eat, so you can plan your own trip.
