Why intervals beat long cardio for fat loss

Yazan Al Khatib

Why intervals beat long, slow cardio when your time is short.

High-intensity interval training alternates short bursts of hard work with easy recovery. Twenty minutes can burn as much as an hour of steady jogging.

Try 30 seconds fast on a bike or rower, then 90 seconds easy, repeated eight times.

Keep it to two or three sessions a week and pair it with strength work for the best results.
